Astronot perempuan NASA, Jessica Meir baru-baru ini mengunggah foto keberadaannya saat ia bertugas di angkasa. Tapi gara-gara foto itu para penganut bumi datar dan bumi laut terlibat adu cuit di Twitter.
Melansir dari The Sun (16/1/2020), sang astronot mengambil foto bumi saat ia berada di International Space Station. Seperti yang terlihat dari unggahan tiga foto di akun Twitter miliknya.

Rupanya foto ini membuat para penganut teori konspirasi bumi datar gerah. Mereka pun membalas unggahan tersebut dengan berbagai macam tudingan. Termasuk foto yang menggunakan lensa fish-eye.
"Bayangkan berbohong dengan miliaran orang dan ngaku-ngaku sebagai astronot. Hidupmu pasti menyebalkan," tulis salah satu akun di Twitter.
Ya. Itu lensa fish-eye. Membuat bumi jadi terlihat bulat. Sebenarnya, bumi itu datar!" tulis akun @Sakadaekk.

Not to disappoint anyone here, but fisheye lenses can be corrected for if you know or can guess the geometric properties of lens and camera. Here's something I wrote a few years ago for that purpose.
